#ive played quite a bit of dnd before but with all of the layers of masking its so exhausting and like only mediocrely fun #so not super my thing and i'll only bother for short one shots #NOT THIS TIME #I FUCKING GET IT #OH MY GOD IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! played a character that was even more tiring to play than normal (party sabatour) #and had so much fun that the fact that i was tired didnt hit me until i got home like 16-17 hours later like #i cant explain how good it was #honestly it was the perfect midground between being dm (i never prepare enough and its stressful) and being a pc #(i dont have any prep for whats happening i worry too much about that to have proper fun) #AND when me tad started to unmask from tiredness character fluke could start to unmask and the shift in how i played them WORKED SO WELL!!! #fully cried at this there were so many genuinely heartbreaking moments #it was a clone wars trooper squad mission one shot btw #themes of brotherhood and solidarity between various canon fodders and victims of war.
